I’m a journalist and editor with a strong foundation in research and storytelling, driven by a passion for people, place, and the planet.
I hold a First-Class Master’s degree in Politics and Social Research Methods from the University of Southampton, where I earned a place on the Dean’s List, I bring rigorous research skills and sharp editorial judgment to every story.
As Editorial Team Lead at Life Publishing Group in Queensland, I oversee content across regional newspapers and lifestyle magazines, mentor writers, and contribute to major features and in-depth magazine stories. I also write Ruth 2 Reef, a column celebrating marine life and environmental initiatives across the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef.
My work spans editorial leadership, digital and social media strategy, and professional photography, with contributions across all Life Publishing titles. I also freelance as a proofreader, helping authors refine their work with precision and care.
I have a diverse background in journalism, research, and commercial roles, including Sky News, EcoVoice, Trigo, the University of Southampton, and Tesco Head Office. This unique blend allows me to combine storytelling with data insight, strategic content planning, and audience engagement.
